We’ve got a couple really cool new things in store for you at Macstock 2018!

With a theme centered around Productivity in 2018, one of those new additions I’m excited to share with you is that for the first time, Macstock will have a featured Keynote Speaker! And this year’s keynote presenter is Bob “Dr. Mac” LeVitus!

Often referred to as “Dr. Mac,” Bob is a leading authority on the Macintosh, Mac OS X / macOS, and other Apple products such as the iPad and iPhone. One of the Apple community’s most trusted gurus for over twenty-five years, he’s known for his trademark humorous style and unerring ability to translate “techie” jargon into usable and fun advice for regular folks.

A prolific author, LeVitus has written or co-written more than 80 popular computer books, with millions of copies sold worldwide in more than a dozen languages. His most recent titles include: iPad For Dummies 10th Edition, iPhone For Dummies 11th Edition, and macOS High Sierra For Dummies, all for Wiley Publishing. Bob just released his first self-published book — Working Smarter for Mac Users — in March 2017 and now offers an online course of the same name.

Bob has been the Apple technology columnist for the Houston Chronicle, penning the popular Dr. Mac column each Tuesday for over 25 years. Though best known for writing, Bob has never lost his love for broadcasting and has hosted both a radio show (Inside Mac Radio, CNET Radio, 2001-2002) and a syndicated television series (Mac Today, 1992-1993).

Always a popular speaker at Mac user groups and trade shows, Bob has presented more than 200 seminars, workshops, conferences, and training sessions in the U.S. and abroad, including Macworld Expo keynote addresses in three countries, live presentations at countless Apple Stores, and four Geek Cruises. He also won the Macworld Expo MacJeopardy World Championship three times before retiring his crown.

I’m thrilled Bob was able to join us this year and take the stage alongside our other all-star speakers like Allison Sheridan, Wally Cherwinski, Tim Robertson, and Guy Serle (just to name a few).
