Dave Hamilton is a podcaster, publisher, entrepreneur, and working musician who has spent nearly three decades building independent media businesses and helping people solve problems.
Since 2005, he has co-hosted Mac Geek Gab, one of the world’s longest-running technology podcasts. He also co-hosts Business Brain, focused on entrepreneurship, and Gig Gab, a podcast for working musicians. Across thousands of episodes, Dave has built a reputation for turning complex topics into practical, actionable advice.
Dave co-founded The Mac Observer in 1998 and led the publication through its successful acquisition in 2021. He also co-founded BackBeat Media, a boutique network that supports independent publishers and podcasters while helping brands reach highly engaged audiences.
When he’s not behind a microphone, Dave is often behind a drum kit. A performing drummer since 1986, he plays with several bands throughout New Hampshire’s Seacoast region. He and his wife, Lisa, have raised their two children there, building a life around family, music, technology, and the freedom that comes with creating something of your own.
