Virtual Macstock on The Geekiest Show Ever

Geekiest Show EverThanks to Elisa and Melissa for having me on the show this week! I had a great time taking a look back at the beginnings of Macstock and sharing a little peek at what’s headed everyone’s way at Virtual Macstock in September and Macstock 2022 next July!

From the show notes:

On episode 362 Elisa speaks with Mike Potter, founder of the Macstock Conference and Expo, about Virtual Macstock 2021. The first Macstock took place in 2015, and is a great way not just to learn, but to meet great people in the Mac community. Mike gives us the lowdown on this year’s virtual conference, and a sneak peek of what’s to come for Macstock 2022.

Wrangling Speakers on the Road to Macstock

Chuck Joiner once again treats us to a behind the scenes look at Macstock, it’s presenters, and sponsors in his special MacVoices video series, The Road to Macstock!

The Road to Macstock is almost over, but we wanted to get one last volunteer interview in with someone who is behind the scenes, but is absolutely essential to Macstock’s success. Brian Henson is the guy who helps each and every Macstock speaker on stage on time, plugged in, and ready to go. He talks about how the different speaker personalities require different approaches, how and why he got involved in Macstock, and offers some advice for potential speakers.

The Road to Macstock is getting shorter and shorter, but we’re not done yet. Norbert Frassa talks about how his positive “freshman” experience at Macstock made him want to be part the event, and how he was recruited to be the camera tech for this year’s Digital Pass videos.

Sketching Your Way Down the Road to Macstock

Chuck Joiner once again treats us to a behind the scenes look at Macstock, it’s presenters, and sponsors in his special MacVoices video series, The Road to Macstock!

The Road to Macstock continues in a conversation with Kirschen Seah, who talks about how she will introduce attendees to a creative method of taking better notes. Sketchnoting involves creating notes graphically rather than in text, to improve retention and recall. Kirschen outlines her s experiences with the technique, and how she will cover it at Macstock.
